DSB CLAIMS

Background

Bal received his B.A. from the University of Delhi. After graduating, he sold automotive parts. Through his work, he encountered someone adjusting a claim on a truck. Intrigued, he learned more about adjusting and soon decided it was the career for him. He hasn’t looked back since.

 

After moving to Canada in 2007, Bal earned his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada. More recently, he completed the courses necessary for his Water Damage Restoration (WRT) designation.

 

Bal will continue to work toward his goals without letting a fear of failure stand in his way—something he feels everyone should do. His mantra of success is “I believe that you can win if you want.”

 

 

 

The personal side

Bal lives with his wife, their daughter and their cat. He enjoys going on long drives with his family and hiking along mountain trails. In his spare time, he reads books that motivate him to achieve more. His favorite book is The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams and Reaching Your Destiny by Robin S. Sharma.

Executive Adjuster

Balvinder Cheema is both an executive adjuster and the branch manager of two DSB Claims locations: Brampton and Peterborough. After dealing with claims for twenty-five years, he knows the process well and, equally importantly, he understands how to explain it to clients in a way that will put them at ease. He believes in a personal handling of claims, and that no claim is difficult if it’s done right.

You won’t find him procrastinating. He believes in getting things done the right way and at the right time. This means that he’ll deal with a claim immediately, whenever it comes to him.

 

He also believes in explaining complicated issues correctly the first time. To him, if clients are confused regarding the claims process, it’s a sign that matters weren’t explained to them well. He strives to use concise, plain language to avoid misunderstandings.
