Nesar’s career in the insurance industry began with a summer job while he was studying English literature at York University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree, but between his positive summer experience and the impressive job opportunities in the field, he decided to stick with insurance instead of becoming a teacher. Since then, he’s worked his way from assistant to executive adjuster.


He’s currently working toward obtaining his CIP designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada and his CRM designation from the University of Toronto.


The personal side

Nesar grew up in Toronto but moved to the Durham region to raise his family. He describes himself as a family man who coaches his son’s soccer team and is involved in the community. He also enjoys traveling, photography and golf.

Nesar Sadeque

Executive Adjuster

Nesar Sadeque serves as an Executive Adjuster and the Branch Manager for DSB Claims. He’s responsible for claims adjusting, including investigations, site visits, statement collection, documentation, reporting, managing the restoration process and negotiations. He also serves as the primary contact in the Durham region.


From the inception of each claim, Nesar focuses on developing a good relationship with the claimants. Clients can count on him to do everything within the policy limits to help them.

He’s worked on high-volume catastrophe claims, including during the High River flooding and the Fort McMurray fire. No matter how difficult the situation, he remains positive.


“People are very fragile at that moment,” he says, explaining that the claims process is difficult on policyholders, but he tries to assure them things will get better. Based on feedback he’s received from clients, including a grateful widow struggling to manage alone, he feels he’s doing a good job.
